New SETI Podcast: https://seti.podbean.com

ME

What the hell is wrong with me letting this nascent blog go quiet. What the hell is wrong with me not focusing this blog on what my life is about and what I am producing for you. I have 96 fiction and non-fiction books on Amazon with links on my author website at www.frederickfichman.com. Finally, what the hell is wrong with me thinking I have the time or energy to make Daily Desert Doodle a daily blog.

Okay, the stage is set. Let's talk about the future of this blog.

The description spells out what I do with my waking hours and that is write or market my writing. So that is what I am going to do with this blog. Yes, politics is occasionally interesting and exciting, but only occasionally. Personally, I find most politicians to be blow-hards feigning angry and becoming indignant on cue. Thoughtfulness and intelligence, rarely. So, in the future I am going to lay off that trap or really, crap.

What I am going to discourse about is the subject matter threads that weave in and out of my books, stories, videos, podcasts. All of that will be rolling out in the future in my blog. I am also going to talk about any news about developments on the "SETI" front. I am going to talk about the 8.7 million animal species on this earth and also about the plastic pollution plague that is choking millions of creatures to death every year. Finally, I am going to be talking about science fiction, science itself, and the anomalies that seem to be invading our world every day.

"The SETI Trilogy

There are two new bits I can give you now. I've decided to do a chapter by chapter read of my "SETI Trilogy," three books, 220,000 words and package it all into a weekly podcast at: https://www.seti.podbean.com  I just started this podcast 3 weeks ago so it is LIVE right now.

I am making this a subscription podcast because of the shear number of hours and work it takes to put this weekly podcast together. There will be 2 chapters presented per week, 8 chapters per month. This entire project for "SETI" will roll out over the next 18 months. I hope you will sign up to hear me read my science fiction books, a thrilling ride. I have the outlines already written out for books four through nine that I will be writing in the future.

"Visit the Zoo"

On the non-fiction front, several years ago I wrote the 12-book 120 animal series "Visit the Zoo."
And from this series I have produced a helluva lot of content. Most of what will follow can be found by going to my author main website at: https://www.frederickfichman.com

First of all, all 12 books and the combined volume anthology in Kindle and in Print can be found on Amazon. Use my frederickfichman.com website to click on images for the links. I also have started to roll out audiobooks for this series, you can find that at https://www.audible.com.

And I have been busy for the last two years with my "Visit the Zoo Podcast." You can find that at:

"Visit the Zoo" video, of course. I produced a 37-minute "Visit the Zoo" introductory video to the 12-book series. You can grab your copy also on Amazon at: https://www.amazon.com/Visit-the-Zoo-Volume-One/dp/B0746MYY71/ref=sr_1_20?keywords=Frederick+Fichman&qid=1574402886&sr=8-20

OR...you can watch it for free on my new "Visit the Zoo" venture on YouTube at: https://www.youtube.com/fjfichman  In the following weeks I will be producing one chapter per week on video with narration, stills, and video from the "Visit the Zoo" series of 12 books.

"Noah, An Animal Adventure Fantasy"

I have recently written a Young Adult genre novel titled, "Noah, An Animal Adventure Fantasy."
you can get your Kindle or Print copy on Amazon. Again, go to my author site at: https://www.frederickfichman.com. I have also recorded that novel as an audiobook on audible.com at: https://www.audible.com/search?keywords=Frederick+Fichman&ref=

Here is the description as posted on Audible:

A 12-year old boy, Noah, goes to the zoo with his mother and father and is swept away on a seven-continent fantasy adventure. He meets and talks to dozens of animals and learns about them in their true habitat. His guide and personal docent, Manny Meercat, teaches Noah about the animals' lives. He also teaches him about the possibilities in life and how to grieve for his brother's recent death. The story and content in Noah's Adventure contains threads from the author's own life and history. It is an emotional personal account in the same literary genre as Antoine De Saint-Exupery's The Little Prince. Noah's Adventure will delight children, young adults, and adults as well. Narration is by the author, Frederick Fichman.

I've written this particular book because of the close connections I have to the story. It is a special work for me. I plan to write more follow-on books to continue the storyline. I hope you will check it out.

"...and in conclusion..."

And in my spare time...I have no spare time. That is why I hope you will check out my description on my YouTube Channel for "Visit the Zoo" where you hopefully be able to contribute and support of my content efforts by checking out my books, DVD, audiobooks, apparel & gear...and my patreon link at: https://www.patreon.com/visitthezoo.

Ya know what, I'm exhausted just writing out this blog. But I do it all because I love it all and I want to give you the most entertaining, informative, and consequential content I am able to produce.

All of the above is what I am doing with my life these days and I hope you will check out some or all of who I am and what I am making for you. In my dream of dreams, I have a production company that is pumping out podcasts, video for YouTube.

And as a final note of reference, I am able to do all of the above only because of the decades of a career spent in television broadcasting. First at the Hanna-Barbera cartoon factory and then for most of my career in senior management at the ABC-TV Hollywood main studios on the old Vitagraph movie lot at Prospect and Talmadge in the heart of Hollywood, California. Those years have served me well in being able to create the written word, video, and audio. I am glad I did all of that work. It was fun and satisfying beyond belief. Thank you ABC-Disney especially for those several decades. And thank you University of Kansas for the B.S. in Journalism/English, Radio-TV-Film, that I worked to obtain of course.

Thank you for reading this lengthy renewed DailyDesertDoodle blog, please join me next week.
